MEGA offers students from all over the world the opportunity to study a variety of English language programs and vocational courses, including: English Language Programs, IELTS Preparation, Cambridge B2 First (FCE), Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE), High School Preparation (HSP), Primary School Preparation (PSP), English for Academic Purposes (EAP) as well as Accounting, Business, Marketing and Communication, Social Media Marketing, Leadership and Management, Information Technology, and Travel and Tourism Management courses.

The MEGA 19-Year Journey

2005

  • MEGA started as a boutique English language school at 35 The Seven Ways, Rockdale
  • MEGA’s first international student was from Thailand. MEGA only had one employee at the time, our Director of Studies

2006

  • MEGA moved to Sydney CBD campus at 22 Goulburn Street, Sydney CBD

2007

  • MEGA established our vocational college with accounting courses
  • MEGA was awarded with an ACPET Student Care Award

2008

  • MEGA Tower at 225 Clarence Street, Sydney was purchased to house MEGA’s school operation

2009

  • MEGA established its high school arm – Macquarie Grammar School

2010

  • MEGA leased a whole building opposite Sydney Town Hall, 545 George Street, Sydney to deliver commercial cookery courses

2011

  • MEGA joint ventured with Charles Darwin University to set up the CDU Sydney Campus

2013

  • CDU joint venture agreement expired after three years. CDU relocated its operation to a new site near Central Train Station, Sydney CBD
  • MEGA closed its cookery operation at 552 George Street Sydney CBD
  • MEGA restructured and retained only the English language school and vocational college

2016 - 2018

  • Refurbished MEGA Tower campus

2018

  • MEGA became a NEAS Quality Endorsed Centre

2019 - 2022

  • MEGA has 2300 international students from 49 countries studying with us every year. Our Smarter Pathway Partners and networks are growing rapidly too
  • MEGA was ranked number one in Australia in the School / Centre Recommendation and Country Recommendation categories in the Australian English Language Barometer Student Survey

  • MEGA’s English Australia membership was accepted
