It was great to catch up with my international Relation Managers this morning. It was a productive meeting to plan our marketing and sales strategies for the months ahead. It is worthwhile to note that Marky somehow managed to get a great haircut during the lockdown period. I need one urgently too. Nancy hid her bad hair under her purple hoodie, making her looking like Tinky Winky, the purple Teletubby. And Iria looks the same, despite work from home. It’s reassuring to see that MEGA still functions well despite this once-in-a-lifetime pandemic crisis.

MEGA is ready for our Online Learning launch next Monday, 6 April 2020. Zoom licenses have been purchased and tested, Google Classroom set up, and Moodle platform still running well. All our teachers, trainers and assessors have all been trained. Volunteer students have also participated in our trial classes during the holiday, provide excellent feedback. Our beautiful Online Learning Manual has also been sent out early this week with their class codes. We are now ready!

MEGA’s improved brochure version is about to be finalised. 2000 hard copies will be produced and distributed globally to our partner agent network. Our beautiful branding will also contribute to solidifying our top market position this year. In this new version, we have added more Smarter Pathway partners, added internship options for our students, added study tour program pages, showcased our exclusive packaged course options for various disciplines, and many more. Our brochure is now looking like an encyclopedia.

With the heightened risk surrounding Coronavirus, MEGA has announced today to all students and education partners that we will commence distance/online delivery of our English and vocational courses from Monday, 6 April 2020. In addition, English and vocational students will be on 2 weeks holiday from next Monday, March 2020 until 5 April 2020. MEGA staff will work from home next Monday onwards.

This is the latest updates for MEGA’s students and partners with regards to our response to Coronavirus pandemic. Fortunately, our vocational students are on their 3 weeks holiday, starting from this week. We are now closely monitoring and proactively managing the situation for our current studying English students and working staff. Their health and safety is our number one priority. We have finalised the preparation for distant learning for students and working from home for staff. Now it’s the Captain’s call as to when is the most appropriate time to implement it.
